About the Position:

METAL is the latest and greatest product within the Dealer Inspire ecosystem, paving the way to re-think Inventory Management Systems for Dealerships. The METAL team is in search of a unique individual passionate about breaking our product in order to make it better. Part Quality Assurance, part “Bug Detective,” the in-house Software Tester is responsible for identifying and reporting on issues, glitches, and overall UI/UX experiences in an unbiased environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze and understand user stories/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
  • Adhere to predetermined Acceptance Criteria when running tests
  • Mitigate risk by detecting and tracking product defects and inconsistencies pre and post-release in a timely manner
  • Provide clear support and detailed documentation for all items, issues, and bugs reported
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with General Manager, Product Owners, and Product Developers on a regular basis
  • Consistent repeat testing on all supported devices and browsers
  • Seek out additional quality assurance and testing independently and outside of predetermined priorities

Job Requirements:

Must possess self-starter characteristics, work well individually as well as within teams, and be able to swiftly shift focus depending on product priorities.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Previous relevant experience in a professional setting
  • Experience in automotive industry and/or an agency is a plus!

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding sense of organization
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of internal management and co-workers
  • Ability to balance demands and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Familiarity with JIRA is preferred
